If you are looking for a short term holiday stay, if you are in need or planning for a long term change or even if you are a carer and would like a break, our staff is committed to provide you with a CSCI good service Rating (March 2009, Inspection Report, CSCI - available to read on visiting).
The Home was originally established in mid eighties. Now run by Mrs. Mariana Bourne (Registered nurse). Mariana and her family live at the premises.
We are located on South Shore, close to main amenities, medical centre, shops, train station and bus provide good connection to and from the town.
The Bedrooms are on 2 floors -Ground floor and 1st Floor with wheelchair access. There is a stairlift and 2 steps to negotiate to get to the First floor. The stairlift could be used independently or with assistance. There is currently Two Bedrooms available both with en-suit and television and One Single room is available for Short term respite care (so if you are a carer for a relative and looking to go on holiday or just need a break speak to your Social Worker/Local Authority to see if you are eligible for funding) If you can get funding this means that where all fees are currently £300.00 a week you might only have to find £12.00 a night (£84.00 per week). At present we don’t charge Top-up fees. We have heard people say £300 “that’s a lot” but we do offer:- 24 hour person centered care
- NVQ or above trained professional staff (retained by the Home for many years)
- Breakfast, Dinner, Tea and Supper + snacks/drinks
- Good Home cooked meals
- Laundry/ironing is done at the premises
- activities
- friendly and caring atmosphere in a clean and pleasant environment
For comparison a week in Bed and Breakfast would cost you that without all the above provision which means you will get with us a good value for money. To comfort yourselft at Isle of Iona Rest Home, please pay as a visit. your stay will be almost as if you never left your home.
